The monastery Gut Saunstorf near Wismar is looking for a  Cook (m/f/d) for catering / buffet (30 hrs./week, from 1.9.24)  The Gut Saunstorf gGmbH runs the “Kloster Gut Saunstorf - Ort der Stille” in the form of a hotel with 62 beds for people who are looking for a break or retreat in a quiet setting. At Gut Saunstorf, we cater for hotel guests and mainly seminar participants, who are spoiled with vegetarian and vegan delicacies in organic quality on our buffet. In our kitchen, we also take allergies and intolerances into consideration and design the menus according to the customer's wishes. The dishes are mostly Ayurvedic, Indian, Mediterranean, but also home-style. For our kitchen team we are looking for a motivated employee (m/f/d) - preferably with experience in vegan & vegetarian cuisine - for 30 hours/week from 1.9.24.  Your tasks ·        You make our guests happy with lovingly prepared food,·        develop new recipes and culinary concepts,·        prepare vegan / vegetarian dishes,·        ensure cleanliness, order and compliance with hygiene standards and health and safety regulations in the kitchen·        monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients,·        ensure that all dishes meet our quality and presentation standards,·        the food is stored and handled correctly,·        use ingredients efficiently and cost-consciously,·        prepare desserts and salads of the day as a team,·        set up and dismantle the buffet (presentation of the menu) and decorate the food with care,·        be available for service at the buffet,·        You will also be available for preparation work (salads, smaller dishes, etc.) or serving food.·        Cleaning work (disinfecting the entire kitchen in compliance with hygiene regulations) rounds off your varied day in the kitchen.·        You will work independently and according to instructions and help shape your workplace.  Our requirements  ·        You have professional experience in a comparable environment - especially in vegan & vegetarian cuisine - and enjoy the task,·        are creative, resilient and reliable,·        are quality-, service- and solution-oriented and speak sufficient German or English to understand your tasks,·        have a positive and responsible personality with strong teamwork skills.·        You are happy to take the individual wishes of individuals into account and are able to fulfill them during ongoing operations.·        We attach great importance to tasty, visually very inviting and varied food: it is well flavored, clearly presented and the ingredients are clearly labeled.·        The cuisine at the Gutshaus, like the spirit of the entire house, has a monastic character.
